BlueCross BlueShield of SC Volunteer Program
As Greenville’s longest running street festival, the success of the event depends heavily on the support of 2,000 dedicated community volunteers. Volunteers are stationed throughout the event site to help ensure that residents and visitors of all ages have a fun and memorable experience.
Interested volunteers can fill out the online application. Once registered, you will receive an email with your password and instructions on how to sign into the volunteer database and sign up for positions. All volunteers will receive an official Fall for Greenville volunteer t-shirt and a wristband for entrance to the BlueCross BlueShield of SC Volunteer Hospitality area.

Please note: All volunteers are required to fill out the new Volunteer Service Agreement & Release form prior to volunteering for the first time. Volunteers between the ages of 10 -17 must have a parental consent form on file. Waivers can be faxed to 864-467-5757 or email to efleming@greenvillesc.gov prior to the event.
Volunteer Training and Check In
Volunteer Orientation for Fall For Greenville will be held on Sunday, October 7 at the TD Bank Conference Center, in Hall 2. Please park in the Hall 2 parking lot. The conference center is located at 1 Exposition Drive, Greenville, SC 29607; This year's orientation will be divided up according to the DAY that you are scheduled to volunteer. Please see the schedule below to determine your orientation time on Sunday, October 7:
- Volunteers working any shift on Friday or Sunday report on Sunday, October 7 at 3:30 pm.
- Volunteers working any shift on Saturday report on Sunday, October 7 at 5:30 pm.
- If you are scheduled for more than one day, you may select which time you would like to attend.

Volunteer Parking:
Fall for Greenville does not have designated parking for volunteers. The City does, however, have numerous free parking
available, including Richardson Garage.

Gateway House
Gateway House is a private, not-for-profit, clubhouse model rehabilitation program for men and women in Greenville County suffering from mental illness. Modeled after Fountain House in New York City, Gateway House has been providing a permanent support system for persons with mental illness in upstate South Carolina since 1984. In 1988, due to the outstanding quality of its programs, Gateway House was selected by Fountain House in New York City to be one of five national training centers in the Clubhouse Model of Psychiatric Rehabilitation.

Job Descriptions
Block Captain
Age Requirement: 21+
Check in volunteers, monitor volunteers, and assist the volunteer coordinator with volunteer issues, over all volunteers in designated block.
Qualifications:
Computer Literate; 1-year experience in the current volunteer program; Attended Block Captain leadership training.
Ticket Sellers
Age Requirement: 17+
Sell tickets to purchase food and beverages.
Qualifications:
Experience handling cash transactions. Volunteers can sit or stand for this position.
Wristband Sellers ID Checker
Age Requirement: 18+
Checks ID's and verify that patrons are of legal age to consume alcohol.
Qualifications:
Experience handling cash transactions. Volunteers can sit or stand for this position.
Wristband Helper (Youth Position)
Age Requirement: 14-17
Put wristbands on patrons. Helpers under 18 cannot handle money nor check ID's.

Beer Servers
Age Requirement: 21+
Serve beer and wine to the public.
Qualifications:
Volunteers need to know how to pour draft beer. Volunteers MUST be flexible,
if asked to move to another beer station. Must be able to stand the entire shift.
Wine Tent
Age Requirement: 21+
Serve and discuss wine to the public.
Qualifications:
Must be able to stand the entire shift and knowledge of wine very helpful.
Runners (Youth Position):
Age Requirement: 14+ or (10-13) with an adult.
Will assist staff and block captains with various duties. Assigned to an area and you will be given a vest to wear.
Qualifications:
Must be able to stand/walk the entire shift.
Festival Concierge (Youth Position):
Age Requirement: 14+ or (10-13) with an adult
You are assigned to an area and report to a block captain. Assist the public with general questions, maps, directions, surveys. You will be given a vest to wear.
Qualifications:
Must be able to stand/walk the entire shift.
Ice Bins (Youth Position):
Age Requirement: 14+ or (10-13) with an adult
Volunteers are assigned to an ICE BIN and responsible for writing receipts. Volunteer must be able to write legibly.

Must be able to write legibly; Sitting position.
Pepsi Servers (Youth Position):
Age Requirement: 14+ or (10-13) with an adult
Serve Pepsi to the public
Qualifications:
Must be able to stand the entire shift.
Finance Volunteers
Age Requirement: 20+
Volunteers will assist the finance staff with reconciling money, tickets and wristbands. Volunteers must be able to walk to tickets booths for collections. This position volunteers 70% inside and 30% outside.
Qualifications:
Accounting majors, accountants, previous ticket captains, previous FFG finance helpers, Bank employees, finance employees are needed.
Beer Captain
Age Requirement: 21+
Volunteers will monitor the beer locations and respond to beer issues, including showing the volunteers the proper beer pouring technique and notifying representatives when the beer taps are not working.
